Kanika Kapoor Booked For Criminal Negligence By Lucknow Police; Charged Under IPC 269, 270
Coronavirus negative Kanika Kapoor has been booked under certain sections of IPC for her negligence and will be interrogated after completing her self-isolation period, as per reports.
It was earlier this week that Baby Doll hit-maker Kanika Kapoor was discharged after recovering from Coronavirus; however, that hasn’t put an end to her misery. It is a known fact that before getting diagnosed, Kanika Kapoor was accused of hiding her travel history of the UK from the airport authorities in Lucknow. She, in fact, even partied with a whopping amount of people that created a stir everywhere and she was at the receiving end of outrage. In regards to the same, an FIR was lodged against the singer for his irresponsibility and putting other’s lives at risk.
Yesterday, we reported how Kanika Kapoor will be interrogated by the Lucknow police after completing her 14 days of self-isolation post the recovery. Now, a report in India Today states that the playback singer has been charged under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections of 259 (Negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) and 270 (Malignant act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life). The FIR was lodged at Lucknow’s Sarojini Nagar police station.
Police Commissioner Surjit Pandey, in a conversation with PTI, revealed, “An FIR was lodged at the Sarojini Nagar police station under IPC Sections 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), 270 (malignant act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant)."
The report added that according to legal experts, the complaint registered against Kanika Kapoor lacks evidence as almost all the people, with whom she came in contact with, were tested negative. The police officials will investigate all the sequence of events to put forth a final report in this case.
